What is the role of ABS at the Annual Meeting?

ABS is a founding member of the GABV and is proud to host the 2020 Annual Meeting in Bern, Switzerland. Learn more about ABS.

Who will be at the Annual Meeting?

Members of the GABV, including financial institutions and supporting partners, come together to strengthen their collaboration and take new initiatives that help banking be a part of the solution for current social, environmental and economic challenges.

When is the GABV Annual Meeting 2020?

The Annual Meeting will take place from February 24 – 27, 2020.

The official programme for GABV members starts on Monday 24 February. Registration opens at 15.00 and the Welcome Dinner takes place at 19.00.

The meeting ends on Thursday 27 February after the Goodbye Lunch at 14.00.

Where does the GABV Annual Meeting 2020 take place?

What are the weather conditions in Bern during February?

Weather in Bern during the winter months is quite cold with winds and potentially snow. You can expect cold temperatures between -5 and 15 °C.

What is the electric plug and socket type in Switzerland?

The standard voltage in Switzerland is 220V (with a standard frequency of 50 Hz). The standard voltage in North America is 110-120V. Plugs from countries where lower voltage is used will not be compatible with Swiss electrical sockets. Learn more here.

What personal safety precautions should I take?

Bern is a safe city. Take normal precautions and use common sense to safeguard yourself and your personal effects.

How do I book my hotel and where do I pay for it?

Hotel booking is part of the registration process and you can find more information on our «Accommodation» page. You are responsible for paying for your own hotel room.
